Validate and Simulate a flow
Run Validate and Simulate on the canvas so compile-time contracts fail in Designer instead of on the first Run.

Validate
Validate evaluates compile-time contracts from Governance, Artifacts, Verification, Connections, and Environments. Use it before Compile.
Validate fails closed when:
- a principal is unresolved
- an artifact contract is missing
- a connection or environment is undeclared
- a human gate has no reviewer
- the account is not entitled to compile
Fix the Blueprint settings, then Validate again. Do not export a package that Validate rejected.
Simulate
Simulate walks the stage graph without dispatching GitHub Actions and without creating a Run. Use it to check handoffs, human gates, and fallbacks on the canvas.
Simulate does not:
- install files
- call the Canon GitHub App
- open Human Review Tasks
- prove Copilot CLI org policy
- prove rulesets or environments on GitHub
After both pass
Compile, then Export Review until Ready to download. Repository inspection and install are still required before Start Run.
A green Simulate is not a published orchestration.
