The official way your team ships.
Canon helps teams turn agents, workflows, approvals, and docs into one repeatable development system that runs inside the tools they already use.
What it does
Start simple. Stay consistent.
Start from a template or build from scratch
Choose an orchestration template that matches how your team wants to work, or open a blank canvas and define your own development process from the ground up.
Add the pieces your team actually needs
Bring in agents for engineering, QA, security, release, and documentation. Connect them with handoffs, review steps, human approvals, and the documentation that explains how the system works.
Compile into the tools you already use
Canon validates the flow, keeps it organized, and compiles it into the files and instructions your repository, CI, and coding agents can follow. No rip-and-replace. No new platform to adopt.
The name
Canon is the official version.
In stories, canon is the shared set of rules everyone builds on. The official version. The source of truth that keeps a world coherent.
In software, Canon is your team's official process. Agents and humans build from the same source of truth. Not tribal knowledge, not side channels, not scattered docs — one place where the way you ship is written down, validated, and run.
That philosophy also applies to Canon itself. We maintain explicit principles for how Canon handles authority, approvals, repository access, code identity, and customer ownership.
Why we built it
We built Canon after tripping over the same problem in our own GitHub setup.
We had agents in one place, workflows in another, and docs scattered across repositories. Every small change meant chasing updates across files. It kind of worked, until it didn't.
We looked for a tool that could keep the system coherent — one place to define the process, keep it clean, and run it reliably inside the tools teams already use. We couldn't find it. So we built Canon.
The brand
A system should have a clear language.
Canon is built around a simple idea: software delivery works better when the rules are explicit.
Our visual identity follows the same principle: simple forms, clear states, restrained color, and very little decoration. Every choice comes from the product, not from decoration.
The Canon mark is a C built around a single point.
The C represents the system: the rules, controls, workflows, and boundaries that define how software gets built.
The point represents what matters inside that system: the work, the decision, the artifact, the approval, or the evidence.
The opening in the C reflects movement. Canon creates structure without creating a closed system—work enters, progresses through defined controls, and leaves as an approved result.
Put structure around what matters.
One system. Five stations.
